Endtime Bible Studies

The Bible tells us that Jesus will return to set up His reign on Earth. No more cruel wars, oppression, and the rule of the greedy and powerful, but a rule of love where God’s plans will be fulfilled. According to some Bible scholars, there are 1,845 references to Jesus’ Second Coming in the Old Testament and 318 references in the New Testament. We refer to the period before His return as the Endtime—which does not mean the End of Time, but the end of the present era, after which Jesus will return to set up His kingdom on Earth.

Along with many other Christians today, we believe that we are now living in the Endtime because of the way the signs of the times, events and conditions that were predicted as precursors to the Endtime are being fulfilled. In our Endtime Bible Studies, we will look at some of the main signs as they are described in the Bible, and then we’ll look at how these are being fulfilled in our present day. We will try to give you enough information so that you will be able to discern the signs of the times yourself, as you observe what is happening around you.

Personal Characteristics Of The Antichrist

Have you ever wondered if some powerful world leader could be the Antichrist? How will we recognize him? One of the main ways is by his actions–confirming and breaking the Covenant, waging the wars predicted in Daniel 11, etc.–but we’ll also recognize him by the personal characteristics the Bible describes him having. “He Shall Confirm a Covenant with Many” The Rise and Fall of the Antichrist

According to Bible prophecy, the event that takes the Antichrist to the pinnacle of power on the international scene and begins his seven-year reign is a seven-year pact or covenant described in the book of Daniel. Whether this covenant is the actual formation of a one-world government or whether it is brokered by that government, already in place is a matter of speculation. However, events such as the formation of the European Union and the adoption of the euro by most of its members as a single currency have shown that nations are prepared to put aside national sovereignty in order to achieve greater economic and political ends. The Prince of the Covenant

Nearly all Bible prophecy teachers teach that the prince of the Covenant (referred to in Daniel 11:22) is the Antichrist, because that’s what the Bible as good as says. “The prince of the covenant”—it’s obvious. The term itself implies who he is: the prince of the Covenant. Who is this prince that has so much to do with the Covenant that he is called the prince of the Covenant? He can be none other than the Antichrist. […] read here

The Four Wars of the Antichrist

Who will the Antichrist be fighting in the Tribulation and the Battle of Armageddon, who are not Christians or at least not necessarily saved? Who are the people who survive into the Millennium and whom God’s people rule over? Since there must be some people that will be ruled over during the Millennium, working backward, there must be people who are not the saved and not Antichrist-marked people either, who survive into the Millennium. The Great Tribulation

When the Antichrist reaches the “midst of the week” and tries to wipe out all religions and establish his world religion of self-worship and worship of his idol, this is when he really starts getting into trouble—both with the peoples of the world and the religions of the world and their followers—and he begins having all kinds of wars. He has wars with different areas and nations and peoples, no doubt with those who are the most religious. He has a lot of problems in those last days of his reign, and God Himself will give him a lot of problems, too. […] read here

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ!

Just at the hour when the fiendish Antichrist thinks he has everything under control–at last he’s worshipped by the whole World & he “sitteth in the Temple of God, as God, shewing himself that he is God” (2Thessalonians 2:4)–suddenly–Boom!–like a bolt from the blue, something happens!–Jesus comes & snatches all of His children out of this World! He’s going to come back & He’s going to rescue us out of this world! And we’re going to be caught up together with Him in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, & so shall we ever be with the Lord! (1Thessalonians 4:17.) […] read here

Second Thessalonians 1–2–The Rapture

The exodus of the church, of the Bride, from this horrible world that has persecuted her and tribulated her with Great Tribulation, whom God is now going to trouble because of the way they treated His Bride. The day when Jesus comes and He raptures His saints, taking His Bride out of this world. Jesus is going to come and take us up to be with Him, unite us with Him in the Rapture. That’s the day of our uniting with the Lamb! That’s the day of our union, followed by the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. […] read here

1 Thessalonians 5–More On The Rapture

It won’t catch His people by surprise like a thief in the night as it will the rest of the world. They won’t be expecting it. They’ll be surprised—especially when Jesus comes. They will really be shocked then when they see the graves open and the bodies of the dead rise in the Resurrection. And all His children who they’ve been persecuting and trying to kill and imprison and trying to make take their Mark of the Beast and worship his image, suddenly will rise right out of their hands and sail up into the sky! 1 Thessalonians 4–5 and 2 Thessalonians 2–No Secret Rapture

When Jesus returns at the Second Coming, He is not going to be coming secretly, but the whole world is going to know it. He will come with a lot of noise, a lot of light. It will be like lightning shining from the east unto the west, like continuous lightning; the whole sky is going to be lit up. In 1 Thessalonians 4, it says that the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God shall sound. […] read here

Matthew 24, Part 1–Signs of His Coming

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). This is the first sign that Jesus Himself gave that we are nearing the end. And that is one of the signs of the end which has already occurred. The gospel has already been preached in all nations—if not directly by missionaries, certainly by radio and television and literature, or travelers and visitors and so on. Every nation on the face of the earth has today heard the gospel. Perhaps not every tribe and tongue and dialect and little tiny group, but every single nation on the face of the earth has now heard the gospel. […] read here

Matthew 24, Part 2–Post-Tribulation Rapture

Jesus is going to come after the Tribulation. It says it as plain as day in that 29th verse: “Immediately after the Tribulation of those days.” It says after the Tribulation shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven. After the Tribulation, then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn. After the Tribulation they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. After the Tribulation He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together His elect. That’s when Jesus is going to come back for His elect, to rapture His saints, to gather them together. […] read here

Matthew 24, Part 3–The Finish

Some of the saved are going to be raised from the dead ashamed, to suffer everlasting shame and contempt, according to the first few verses of Daniel 12: “Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” They’re going to be raised, yes. Saved, yes, but in everlasting shame and contempt because they failed God and disobeyed Him and did things which were evil in His sight. […] read here

Luke 21–Antichrist, Tribulation and Second-Coming

Jesus describes the invasion of Israel by the Antichrist forces. First it has to be compassed with armies and desolated because of its rebellion against the world government of the Antichrist, who then sets up his image, and then follows this time of great trouble such as was not since the world began. Not only for Israel, but for all people of whatever religion worldwide, because the Antichrist will insist that the whole world worship him and his image then. […] read here

Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 2

A lot of people are probably saying, “The Lord’s going to come any moment.” He can’t, He won’t, because all the prophecies haven’t been fulfilled yet. The world hasn’t gotten bad enough yet; its cup of iniquity is not filled. You think it’s bad now? Wait till the Antichrist comes. You think conditions are bad now? Wait till the Tribulation! “Let no man deceive you by any means. That day shall not come”—the day of Christ, the day of the Lord’s coming and our gathering together to Him—“it shall not come except there come a falling away first”—that’s a growing cold, becoming lukewarm like some Christians today—“and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Jesus is not going to come until after the Antichrist is revealed. […] read here

God’s Tribulation Triumphs

Others, although they have correctly understood and realized from the Bible that the church will be here for and go through the 3½ years of Great Tribulation—have envisioned and pictured this period as a time of defeat and destruction for Christians, a terrifying time of nothing but hell and horrors and defeats for God’s children. True, it’s going to be a time of terrible and awesome events. Yes, it’s going to be a time of great persecution and great battles. But it’s also going to be a time of miraculous victories that will spare us and protect us and help us to survive and witness till the very Coming of the Lord, when “we which are alive and remain shall be caught up, to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The Millennium

Immediately after Jesus’ return and the rapture and resurrection of the church, His born-again children will join the Lord in that wonderful Wedding Supper of the Lamb in heaven, while God will mete out His wrath on earth, where they will finally gather together under their Antichrist leader to attempt to war against Jesus Christ Himself and His forces in the Battle of Armageddon. In this final great battle, the forces of God gain a glorious victory over the forces of Satan and defeat him and his Antichrist and False Prophet. Then Jesus Christ will take over this world and organize and rule and run it the way it should have been run if man had yielded to God. The Bible says that this amazing period will last for one thousand years, and therefore it is known to Bible prophecy students as the Millennium, which is Latin for a thousand years. The Bible is full of descriptions of this beautiful millennial period, and in fact, it says even more about the Second Coming of Christ and His rule and reign on the earth as its king than it does about the First Coming. The New Heaven and New Earth–A Study of Revelation

That beautiful Holy City, the new Jerusalem, the city of God is going to come down, it says here, “from God out of heaven” (Revelation 21:1). It’s going to come right down here to this earth. Whether it’s going to sit down here on the earth or whether it’s going to float above the surface of the earth, we don’t know, but it sounds like it’s going to be right on the earth, because it has gates for people to come in and go out of. It says “the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it” (Revelation 21:24) and that we will go out of it to heal the nations with the leaves of the healing of the tree of life. So it sounds like it’s going to sit right here on the earth. […] read here
